I've heard it said that five photos on facebook are all you need to see what something is like. Are we, I wonder, becoming desensitized to the impact of photographs? I hope not.
Here are some images that do carry an impact, and there are no more that five in each group. I'll be putting up a different selection soon so come back another day and have another look.

My archives date back to the early 1950s. Sometimes a neglected shot acquires a new relevance and I get a great deal of satisfaction in reviving images and presenting them afresh in digital form. | |

In the 1980s I devised a darkroom technique of controlling the tonal elements of a photograph and reducing them to outlines of black or white tracery. I don't make new Line Designs any more but digital reproductions of the originals make powerful small images. | |
